How to use COMMAS correctly

         Punctuation is something confusing to most of us when it comes to writing. We get confused about where to use a Comma or a Full stop... and where not to use it. That is why, in this toturial we are going to know the rules of using Commas in english language.
         There are 4 main rules of commas that you have to remember: Introducers, Coordinators, Inserters, and Tags.

            1.   Introducer comma:

an introducer camma follows any element that comes in front of an independent clause in a sentence.

            Examples:

Words:

Therefore, I have to attend the class.

Phrase:

As a result, he died terribly.

Dependent clauses:

Because of the bad weather, I will not go for shoping today.

            2. Coordinator comma:

is used when we have two element or more that have a coordinator conjunction in between.

            Examples:

Compound sentences:

She got up early this morning, yet she did not do her homework.

3 or more words:

I hate Basketball, Kickboxing, Fennis, except Football.

3 phrases or more:

A nurse has to work at night, on weekends, and on holydays.

            3. Inserter comma:

is used when we have an element inserts in a sentence.

             Examples:

Words:
My uncle, however, refuses to quit smoking.

Phrases:

My father, On the other hand, has never smoked.

Reporting verbs in direct quotations:

"I should read this book," she says, "but I have no time."

              4. Tag Comma:

is used when adding a certain element to the end of a sentence.

Words:

I should do exercise, too.
He refused to play, however.

Phrases:

He exerices for an hour a day, for example.

Tag questions:

It is not true, is it?
